KU Resources has completed numerous projects associated with brownfield redevelopment under both State and Federal brownfield programs. In addition, our firm has successfully designed and implemented numerous regulatory plans and reports that allowed our clients to save both time and money. We also have two Registered Brownfield Professionals on staff to design and conduct environmental studies to further provide liability protection to our clients.
Combining our experience with our understanding of the regulatory requirements allows us to more efficiently develop and execute the activities associated with brownfield program projects. Not only do we understand the regulatory aspects of brownfield redevelopment, but we also have the ability to coordinate the technical aspects with the applicable agencies. With this, we have developed a clear understanding of which elements of the regulatory programs are “cast in stone” and which ones are subject to flexibility. Overall, our project approaches allows us to utilize funding more efficiency by limiting time/money on plans and documents and focus on the actual site characterization/evaluation activities.
Brownfield redevelopment has been the primary focus of KU Resources since its inception in the mid-1990s. Our dedication to risk-based site remediation allows our staff to create cost-effective solutions to environmental concerns consistent with the planned redevelopment of a site. Federal and State requirements are both evaluated at a project’s inception to assure that all necessary procedures are followed, resulting in smooth execution of all necessary activities.
