Several million UST systems, which contain petroleum or hazardous chemicals, are currently in use nationally. KU Resources has developed significant experience in the management of these systems, and is well-suited to aid clients through the often-complicated regulatory process associated with these tanks. We offer services ranging from determining responsibility of abandoned USTs to developing and implementing cost-effective remedial solutions.
Federal, State, and local governments have developed procedures for UST owners and operators regarding environmental and safety requirements. Many states have developed financial assurance funds (established via motor fuel sales taxes) to assist with compliance and costs of cleanups.
KU Resources’ dedicated staff of environmental professionals regularly perform UST assessments and remediation. Through this experience and expertise, we systematically and efficiently execute the technical and financial aspects of UST projects, while complying with all the regulatory issues. This allows us to offer our clients timely and efficient results. We are highly focused on obtaining site closures whenever proven and reliable methods are applicable.
